CALL FOR PROPOSALS: CALL FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND MODELS TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF UMLHLATHUZE IN AREAS OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS FOR IMMEDIATE DEPLOYMENT IN THE KZN PROVINCE

The City of uMhlathuze in the province of KZN in partnership with the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) are currently implementing the Science, Technology, Engineering, English, and Mathematics (STEEM) as one of the District Development Model (DDM) supporting initiatives. The purpose of this call is to invite innovators and technology developers or SMME’s (Innovation Intermediaries) to submit proposals addressing any of the following areas:

  • Applications that introduce new or enhanced ways of learning at schools through technology
  • Affordable ICT communication platforms for teachers, student and parents taking into account factors affecting rural schools in South Africa.
  • STEEM supporting solutions / initiative to increase the performance in Science, Mathematics, English and Engineering outcomes of Grade 12
